What is a Calibration Dock?

A calibration dock, also known as a calibration station, is a device that is used to calibrate and bump test portable gas detectors. Calibration ensures that the detector is reading gas concentrations accurately, while bump testing a portable gas detector will verify that the detector is functioning properly.

Portable gas detector calibration docks are typically used in industrial settings where there is a risk of exposure to hazardous gases. They are also used by firefighters, emergency responders, and other professionals who work in environments where there is a risk of gas leaks.

There are two main types of portable gas detector calibration docks: automated and manual. Automated docks are more expensive, but they are faster and easier to use than manual docks. They also provide more accurate and repeatable results. Manual docks are less expensive, but they require more time and effort to use. They are also more prone to human error.

Portable gas detector calibration docks typically have the following features:

    • A gas source, such as a compressed gas cylinder or a gas generator.
    • A flow regulator to control the flow of gas to the detector.
    • A sensor chamber that houses the detector.
    • A control panel for operating the dock.
    • Software for managing calibration and bump test data.

Superseded Calibration Docks:

Due to the continual evolution of the Gas Detection Monitoring industry, our suppliers will from time to time discontinue a model or range. Below is a list of models that Aegis has sold and listed on our website.

This list has been provided for your information and includes either the end-of-life date (EOL) or the end-of-service date (ESD).
