Aegis Sales & Service Relocates Chinchilla Branch | 1 July 2026
Chinchilla, Queensland - Aegis Sales & Service is relocating its Chinchilla branch from 21 Chinchilla Street to 84A Hypatia Street, Chinchilla, QLD 4413, effective 1 July 2026, as it continues to grow its Queensland footprint.
This move brings the Surat Basin operation into a larger, upgraded facility built to meet the growing demands for gas detection, calibration, and safety equipment in the region's resource sector.
The new facility at 84A Hypatia Street provides Aegis's Chinchilla team with greater service capacity and stock-holding to support the CSG corridor.
According to Aegis Sales & Service General Manager Kimberley Nunn, the new facility is intended to service the CSG and resource sectors from an expanded local site in the Surat Basin.
“Our new Chinchilla facility reflects Aegis's ongoing commitment to servicing the CSG and resource sectors from a permanent local presence in the Surat Basin,” said Ms Nunn.
“The Surat Basin is one of Australia's most active onshore gas regions, with operators including QGC (a Shell company), Santos and Omega Oil and Gas, depending on gas detection equipment, instrument servicing and on-site safety solutions. As one of Australia’s largest worksite safety services companies, servicing both downstream and upstream providers, it is critical that we continue to build our presence at the heart of the Queensland gas industry
The upgraded location positions the branch to respond faster and carry more product for customers working across the Surat, Bowen and Cooper basins. The new premises are situated next to Foodworks on Hypatia Street; customers can visit from 1 July.
From 1 July 2026, MaxiSafe joins the Chinchilla location as a safety equipment partner. MaxiSafe is an Australian distributor specialising in height safety and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Their presence at the new facility extends the range of products accessible from the Chinchilla branch, adding to the existing calibration services and gas detection capability the branch has provided to the region's resource sector for years.
