Anchors Points

Aegis Sales & Service has a range of anchor devices that are AS/NZS 1891 compliant. Single point anchors points are suited to fall arrest and rope access/abseiling.

Fall Arrest Anchor Points are suited for fall arrest and limited free fall applications must be rated to a minimum of 15kN for 1 person.

Abseil Anchor Points The minimum load requirements for Absail or Limited free fall is 12kN for 1 person but where possible they should be rated 15kN as required for fall arrest.

The main installation types for anchor points are:

  • Surface mount (directly to metal roof via rivets and screws)
  • Purlin mount (directly into the purlin)
  • Concrete glue in
  • Friction
  • Steel fix

All anchor points should be inspected every 12 months and before each use by the user. They should not be used unless they are within current inspection dates.
